Day 2 of my 3 day mega scrambling adventure in Banff National Park! This installment shows my approach to Mt. Edith and my assent of (almost) the North Summit and my traverse to the Central Peak. I descend down the craziest gully I have ever gone down and make it to the col between the Central and South Summit.

It was loose, it was sketchy and it was awesome! This climb was so amazing I had to break it down into two part! Have a look at Part 3 of this series to see me get up to the true summit of Edith, the technically challenging South Summit! These scrambles are rated difficult in Kane's Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies and he notes that a fall would mean death on a large part of this climb!

I also had a limited amount of daylight so to prevent myself from being benighted, I had to move fast!
