British hockey star Crista Cullen spilled blood on the pitch after taking a nasty blow to the head - before making an epic return to the game.
Footage of the incident captured the 30-year-old from Boston, Lincolnshire colliding with an elbow as team GB beat New Zealand 3-0 in a tense semi-final.
Helen Richardson-Walsh also limped away from the pitch immediately after rifling her penalty home to put team GB two goals ahead.
But her strike, as well as an Alex Danson double, meant that despite the injuries sustained, team GB secured a seventh successive win of the tournament.
Many British hockey fans took to Twitter following Cullen's epic return to the pitch with what appeared to be a small plaster on her head.
