This is my entry for the Indie Game Music Contest 2025. I really enjoyed composing this adaptive soundtrack for this amazing game.

The game is currently in development and is being developed by Ninjarithm.

The game takes place in a prehistoric environment. You are exiled. Survive the Elder’s trials in a turn-based strategy where every choice reshapes the land. Seasons shift, the ecosystem remembers, and balance is the only path to redemption in a hand-painted world inspired by Estonian myth.

For the overall tone of the music, I sought to create a cold and hostile atmosphere, with a Nordic touch to represent the ancient and prehistoric side of the game. To contrast with the different moods of the game, the music oscillates between moments of calm and tension with the various pads. The ambient music of the gameplay evokes the passing of time with a constant pulse in the synthesizers. For the more tense moments when the player begins to feel increasingly hungry, the soft but melancholic cello melody representing the protagonist's loneliness gives way to cold and distorted cello FX with War Bends, Fujara repetitions, and percussive effects with the dambrelis.

Music Integration Explanation:
Every time the player opens the "items tab", the volume of the music and sound design (foley) decreases to allow them to think carefully about their decisions.

Also, Ten seconds before death, tinnitus begins to be heard, adding impact to the game's sound design.

Between each loop, you will hear a fade out, then a fade in to smoothly move from one track to the next, just like in a real game.

I had some foley (wind and birds) to add depth to the sound design.
