The First Tanks | Melon Playground/Sandbox (ww1)

The first tanks designed for combat we're the Mark 1 tanks developed by the British. An armored "landship" built to halt the stalemate of trench warfare, deployed on September 15 1916 at Flers-Courcelette, the Germans saw the beginning of a hundred years of a new weapon, a weapon to change war as they knew it. Confusion on distraught behind their faces, their guns and hand grenades useless against the lumbering metal box, in the end of the battle, the Germans lost.
