Tropical storm warnings and watches are in effect for Long Island and parts of New Jersey as the remnants of Elsa threaten to batter the tri-state area with up to 60 mph winds and four inches of rain. But first, we've got another round of storms.

Potentially severe weather Thursday afternoon ahead of Elsa could bring damaging winds and blinding rain to much of the region. Large hail was reported in New Jersey's Bergen County by early afternoon -- up to the size of a tennis ball in Hillsdale and an egg in Westwood along with smaller pellets elsewhere.
