In this video, I show you how to fertilize fruit trees. It is essential to feed the fruit trees so they can produce fruit for you. The tree needs nutrients to support all the fruit that forms on the tree. I like to fertilize the fruit trees in the spring because that's when the trees are waking up. The fertilizer I used in the video was Dr. Earth's fruit tree fertilizer. The next application of this fertilizer will be in mid to late summer. I do not fertilize in the fall or winter. It is also important to fertilize the tree using its drip line. The drip line is where the end of the branches of the tree spreads. People make the mistake of putting the fertilizer up against the trunk of the tree. The tree will not take advantage of the nutrients because the roots that take up most of the nutrients are around the drip line.
