First, you'll have to select the desired list. Once you've got that list opened, click on the "Signup forms" link as shown in this video. Select the "General forms" link, then select the group you want to have subscribers automatically added to and make sure it's set to "visible."

Then, go back to the "Signup forms" link, and this time, choose "Embedded forms." Copy the embed code and use it on your website. You can optionally choose to alter the code to make it so that the fields are hidden and that the boxes are checked by default, adding each new subscriber to the group.

At this point, if you don't want customers to see the groups they're a part of when they click the unsubscribe link in your emails, you can choose to go back to "Signup forms," click "General forms" again, select the group you made "visible" and set it back to "hidden" instead. This will not affect the embedded code you've already placed on your website.
