Malaysia - Things to do in Georgetown & Penang

Описание к видео Malaysia - Things to do in Georgetown & Penang

We purchased another bus ticket and took the bus from Ipoh to Penang. If you ever go there by bus, buy your ticket to Sungai Nibong instead of Penang Sentral (Butterworth), because this last station is not on the island. Otherwise, you’ll also need a ferry to get to the island.
We discovered the stunning streets of Georgetown. Lots of street art and beautiful architecture, and of course we enjoyed a nice drink at Love Lane ❤️.
Your trip to Penang is not complete without a visit to Penang Hill. We took the funicular up to the top of the hill for some spectacular views across the island. There we purchased a ticket for The Habitat Penang Hill. This park trail is approximately 1.6km long. The trail’s highlights are Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, the Canopy Walk, and of course the beautiful view over the city, the rainforest & lots of butterflies along the way. Unfortunately, there was a lot of maintenance going on so we couldn’t do a large part of the Canopy Walk, and it wasn’t possible to go zip-lining.
After The Habitat Penang Hill, we hiked Route B and Route A before we took the funicular back down.
On our last day on Penang Island, we visited Malaysia’s smallest National Park. We hiked a great trail to Pantai Kerachut (Turtle Beach) which ends on a gorgeous white sandy beach. From there we had a boat ride to Monkey Beach where we had a great lunch surrounded by lots of monkeys.
Besides exploring the area we finally also had some time in the gym again and even enjoyed the rooftop pool!
Enjoy the video folks 🙏🏼
