Episode 04: Exploring Black Musical Tradition feat. Madison Calley

Описание к видео Episode 04: Exploring Black Musical Tradition feat. Madison Calley

March is #WomensHistoryMonth and we're taking a moment to celebrate our own community of women + femme-identifying musicians, educators, and leaders, beginning with Madison Calley (@madisoncalley), a prolific harpist, educator, and advocate for our Berklee City Music program.

We interviewed Madison for #BHM, who shared about her personal connection to her instrument and how she continues to carry the torch for her generation, following the footsteps of Black women harpists such as Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane.

Watch the full interview here on YouTube and follow our Instagram (@citymusicboston) for more content from our Berklee City Music Ambassadors, students, staff and alumni.
