Описание к видео A Living National Treasure Documentary Ota,Tokyo HON'AMI Koshu(Polishing japanese swords)

Since 2017, Ota City Cultural Promotion Association has held an event called “Ota-Wa-no-Saiten(Ota's traditional Japanese Culture Festival)”to experience traditional Japanese culture every March, but unfortunately, in order to prevent new coronavirus infection, 2020 and 2021 was canceled. However, as a means of disseminating Japanese culture to the inhabitants and providing a new form of "Carrying on" through Japanese culture, we focused on the three living national treasures (holders of important intangible cultural properties) living in Ota,Tokyo. We decided to produce a documentary program. We hope that people in Japan and overseas, not only in Ota, will learn about the splendor of traditional Japanese culture and the daily efforts and thoughts that underlie it, and this will be an opportunity to raise their interest in Japanese culture.
