I wrote this song over the July 4th holiday in 2019. While I unapologetically utilized my fascination with steam railroad as the basis for the movie, the song is actually a metaphor detailing some personal experience - little if anything to do with railroad. Everything mentioned in the song represents something. If you're curious - ask me about it sometime. Either way - I hope you enjoy the video! I had a blast making it! It was the first time in many years that I reconnected with Jeff Polson and Kathy Wilcox Hill and had the privilege of meeting her husband Ralph. My Uncle Tom helped out and a couple friends of Jeff - Ted Masink and Dave Rennie joined in. My brother in law Bill Dornback jumped in at the last minute to help fill the ranks! The videography was done by a young man who I have known as long as I've known my own children - Paul Janssen. What a blast to have Paul film for me! Very reminiscent of the countless hours he and his brother Dan and my boys spent making their own movies! Deja Vu all over again!!
