DIY PLASTER CLAY CRACKING! Making More Satisfying Viral ASMR for my TikTok

This was a video I've wanted to make for so long! Back in summer there were lots of clay cracking clips on Kwai & Instagram that looked like plaster. I figured it must have been gypsum plaster / plaster of paris. Once mixed with water, you have 5-10 mins to work with it and it will harden in 30-40 mins. I greatly prefer this over nail polish for clay cracking because it dries faster, is much cheaper and there is absolutely no smell.

PLASTER CLAY CRACKING
1) Make your design using paper clay. The shape should be at least the size of your palm.
2) Mix plaster according to package instructions. In the video I used a brand that was 3:1, though plaster of paris is often 2:1!
3) Add food colouring to if desired
4) Pour it over the clay and shake vigorously to create a thin, smooth layer
5) Add sprinkles or glitter if desired
6) Check that the excess plaster is not forming any puddles, move your piece around if this happens
7) Leave to dry for 30mins and paint on final details if needed
8) CRACK!
