Carribean Airlines Flight 789 was an international flight from Piarco International Airport in Piarco, Tunapuna–Piarco, Trinidad and Tobago to Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica with 72 passengers on board with 7 crew on board.

In the cockpit was 45 Y/O Kareem Ramdial (1968-) he had 13,000 hours on the 737-800,he survived with minor injuries, and there was 51 Y/O Sunil Samaroo (1962-) He had 16,000 flight hours on the 737-800. He also survived with minor injuries.

On August 10, 2013, an 737-800 collided with an ERJ-45, killing only 17 people on board the 737 but all crew and passengers was killed in the ERJ.

the ERJ-45 was registered HH-EYN, the route was to Aeroport International Toussaint Louverture in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston with 17 people on board, the cockpit crew was 22 Y/O Kesnel Eugene (1990-2013) he had only 10,000 hours on the ERJ and there was 26 Y/O Gesner Bien Aime (1987-2013) he had 13,000 hours on the ERJ.

the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said that both pilots was not paying attention to the runway and was just chatting, and both were was inexperienced also.

The 737-800 impacted on the side of the ERJ, breaking off the front landing gear off of the plane than almost overrunning the runway the busted in flames.
