On this video I want to show you my method for recognizing intervals.
Starting with the major shape from the six string, we have all the perfect and major intervals.

To find a minor interval you just have to move the major interval one fret lower.

The perfect intervals can be made diminished by moving that interval one fret below and augmented by moving that interval one fret higher.

Now that we know our interval shapes we can use a popular song to make the connection between intervals names and their sounds.
