Louisville Mega Cavern | Kentucky Life | KET

Beneath the streets of Louisville lies the Louisville Mega Cavern. The cavern has been open to tourists since 2009, and everything about it is big. Originally a limestone quarry, at 100 acres, it's considered the largest building in the state of Kentucky.

Today, Louisville Mega Cavern offers underground adventures. Mega Zips includes six ziplines and two challenge bridges. Mega Quest is an aerial ropes challenge course, among only 20 in the United States. Mega Tram is a historic tram tour, allowing visitors to explore the early mining operation and even a replica of the nuclear fallout bunker.
