Parippu curry is one of the dishes that is made during onam sadya. Basically its moong dal made with coconut and other spices. 
This parippu curry plays and very important role in onam during sadhya time and ut can be prepared very easily with very less ingredients and tastes like heaven

Parippu curry recipe:
Green gram(cherupayar)-1 cup
Water-3 cups
Green chilli-2 no
Shallots-2 no
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Fresh grated coconut-1 cup
Garlic- 3 cloves
Whole cumin-1/2 tsp
Water-1/3 cup(for pressure cooking time)
Water-1 cup
Oil-1 tbsp
Mustard seed-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli-4 no
Shallots-2 no
Curry leaves-3 spring
