I am a teacher for the Dundas Valley School of Art, DVSA. In this video I will show you how to take a painting from pure values and shape and make it into a portrait. The underpainting is a verdaille, which is a green version of a grisaille. This means you are starting with a simple monochromatic palette and working towards a full colour palette.
