A RUSSIAN artist doused herself in fake blood in a solo protest in St. Petersburg on Sunday, March 27.

Yevgenia Isayeva can be seen standing on the steps of a municipal assembly building on Nevsky Prospekt, repeating the phrase “my heart bleeds” before Russian police officers take her away.

RFE/RL reported that Isayeva also put a canvas at her feet with an appeal to passersby not to support “bloodshed” in Ukraine.
