➡️ Plants with high levels of soluble nitrogen compounds (like nitrate and ammonium) are attractive to insects
➡️ Converting mineral nitrogen into peptides and complete proteins removes that lure

You'll know it's working when sap analysis shows:
✅ abundant levels of total nitrogen
✅ and LOW levels of nitrates and ammonium
(Exception: if chloride in sap is higher than total N, then none of this will work).
