These are the board from a Spirit 40F transportable put into a base station.They always hum; this is a manufacturing error in design.

As always with these, I replace all the four capacitors on the power supply PCB & also the 1000uf one on the main board. This reduced the hum.

The radio is doing 4W output & the receive is around 0,45uV for 12dB SINAD.

These were a cheap base station at £69.99 in 1983.
