Kitzbühel FOOD TOUR to 'Hallerwirt', 'Unsere Kiste' & 'Goldene Gams' 🇦🇹 What to do in AUSTRIA

Kitzbühel on the menu 😋

First we were welcomed by Monika & Jurgen at gasthof Hallerwirt. It's one of the oldest wooden huts in the #Kitzbühel area. With over 200 years old it has the 'Erbhof' title.

They specialize in traditional Tiroler food and only use locally sourced products. They even own their own farm where they have cows that provide them with fresh milk every morning. 🐄

We were very fortunate to witness their cooking and even more to taste their delicious food. 👌

An absolute must visit for foodies visiting Kitzbühel.

We then learned about the really cool concept of trust based grocery stores with products from local farmers at Maurach hofladen and Unsere Kiste. The idea is that you just walk in, take what you need and pay what you're owed based on trust.

How cool is that! 👊😎

From there we went for a short walk in the heart of Kitzbühel where we learned that the city exists already for 750 years and that it's so colorful because the houses got a color depending on the profession that was practiced in it.

So cute!

We ended our day with a beautiful dinner at the Goldene Gams.

After we spoiled our tastebuds so much we went back to the hotel to attend our pending food comas. 😋
