Swift piling works at SRU, Barmer Refinery | MEIL

MEIL is executing the Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU), which is a key hydrocarbon complex for HPCL- Rajasthan Refinery Ltd (HRRL) at Barmer, Rajasthan.

The sulphur recovery unit is responsible for converting the sulphide in the toxic sulphur-containing gas produced in the refinery process into elemental sulphur and removing harmful substances in the tail gas.

The sulphur Recovery unit is helpful to reduce the air pollution in the refinery process. Hence it is a key unit to safeguarding the environment.

The piling works are ongoing at brisk pace at Sulphur Recovery Unit. Most of the pile works completed for Pipe rack, Satellite station, technical structures, sulphur yard, amine storage tank, exchangers, skimmed oil drum and MEDA storage tank.

As of Now, 4,400 pile works have been done for various structures and tanks in SRU. These pile works are the base for the structures and strengthen the weak dessert soil.
