Matthias has forty years of experience in underground and other infrastructure works as a contractor, designer, supervisor, consultant, adjudicator, arbitrator and mediator. He provides services worldwide in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

Matthias chaired the FIDIC-ITA Task Group 10 from its constitution in 2014 to the publication of the Emerald Book 2019, and from 2018 to 2020 he served as a member of the FIDIC Contracts Committee. He is the animateur of the Working Group 3 “Contractual Practices” of the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association ITA-AITES.
