Tutorial N° 1: Making a Eurorack modular Techno kick drum with an envelope generator. No VCA needed

Описание к видео Tutorial N° 1: Making a Eurorack modular Techno kick drum with an envelope generator. No VCA needed

The first modular video demonstrates some tips and tricks to shape a classic techno kick drum using Eurorack modules. Here we will focus on 1 or 2 functions like clock divisions & multiplications using Doepfer modules, the standard Doepfer ADSR to shape the kick drum & the Varigate +4 for adding simple CV modulation to the only voice used in this video which is the Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas Alter. The main sequencer for the BIA is the Qu-Bit Pulsar generating euclidian drum patterns. The clock+reset generator can come from any module, but in this case, it's the Squarp Instruments Hermod going into a buffered multiple and then distributing the clock into an even & odd clock divider, the Pulsar and the Varigate +4. Then I will use different clock divisions patched to the envelope generator which outputs to the pitch input of the BIA. The idea is to show one trick at a time, but we just used the CV modulation from the first track of the Varigate +4 going to the attack input of the BIA to create or even add different sounds like snares to make the beat more dynamic. For the sake of explaining the video is mostly on a 4/4 techno beat, but the whole idea is to show the infinite patching possibilities that Eurorack offers through a simple example that we will develop in future videos. Block by block. Hope you will enjoy the video!
