पीठ पेरून पडवळाची भाजी करण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
• १ पडवळ
• २ मोठे चमचे तेल
• १/२ चमचा मोहरी
• १/२ चमचा जिरं
• चिरलेली लसूण
• हिरव्या मिरच्यांचे तुकडे
• बारीक चिरलेला कांदा
• १/२ चमचा धनेपूड
• १/२ चमचा लाल तिखट
• हळद
• चवीनुसार मीठ
• ३~४ चमचे बेसन
• हळद
• १/२ चमचा लाल तिखट
• चिमूटभर मीठ
• बारीक चिरलेली कोथिंबीर

Ingredients:
• 1 Padwal / Snake gourd
• 2 tbsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• Chopped Garlic
• Chopped Green chilies
• Finely chopped Onion
• 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
• 1/2 Red chili powder
• Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp Garam masala
• Salt to taste
• 3~4 tsp Besan
• A little Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
• A pinch of Salt
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
Method:
• Rub salt and lemon juice well to padwal so that the bitterness if any will be removed.
• Cut padwal and peel it. Cut in into half and remove seeds if any. Cut the padwal into pieces.
• Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan and add mustard seeds.
• When mustard seeds pop up, add cumin seeds, garlic and green chilies and fry it for few seconds.
• Add onion and fry well on medium heat until it gets light golden color.
• Add chopped padwal, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt
and mix everything well together.
• Cover and steam the padwal for about 7-8 minutes.
• Remove the lid and mix well.
• When padwal is almost cooked, reduce the heat to low and spread the bhaji evenly in the pan.
• Strain besan evenly on it and sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt on it.
• Cover and cook the bhaji on low heat for about 6-8 minutes.
• Remove the lid and mix well.
• Add coriander leaves and mix well.
• Turn the gas off and padwal bhaji is ready.
• It is a good lunch box option.
• You also can serve it as side dish with rice.
• It goes well with chapati or fulka or bhakri.
