Power Quality is important for Security of Supply. Electrical energy is one of the most important resources in our society. All economy sectors are dependent on the quality of the electrical supply. Therefore harmonic problems with power quality have to be diagnosed and resolved immediately to avoid high costs in case of interruptions or outages.
Power quality problems in Europe are estimated around 150 billion EUR per year, yet for preventive action only 5 % of this sum are being spent.
