Graduate of Catholic theology at Charles University in Prague. Later he continued with post gradual studies of journalism at Catholic University in Ružomberok. Currently he is a lecturer of broadcast journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University in Prague. He is an author of several books. In 2018 he led an interview with the last chief of communist state security, Alojz Lorenc, which was also published as a book.
