Hi Everyone! Thank you for watching this video on testing file system performance in WSL2.

In this video, I’ll walk through the performance issues I’ve noticed when training models on WSL2. We will use a ResNet-50 model I’m working on to train on both Windows 10 and within WSL2. I’ll also discuss the issues with comparative analysis and the compromise to test the file system between the two platforms.

When Microsoft fixes the problems with automount in WSL2, I’ll test an ext4 formatted volume.

NOTE: Perf cannot be used here because it’s not supported in WSL2
