Two Years of War: Two Years of Strength in Ukraine

It's been two years since Russia invaded Ukraine. Two years of war and destruction, of loss and devastation. But it has also been two years of Ukrainian strength and resilience, of kindness and caring for those in need.

Kidsave has been working in Ukraine since 2016, finding adoptive families for orphans and providing mentorship and assistance to older youth transitioning into independent living. When the invasion occurred, our small team quickly developed a huge network of volunteers that delivers humanitarian aid and provides evacuation assistance across Ukraine.

Since February 2022, our team has delivered 2,620 tons of humanitarian aid and evacuated over 31,000 peopled to safety. And although it's been difficult, we've also continued our core programs as much as possible, and have begun construction on a site in western Ukraine that will be the Kidsave Miracles Center. This multi-functional space will allow us to continue supporting Ukraine and its children through this war and for generations to come as we sustain hope for today and build towards a better tomorrow.
