I recently came across one of my sneaker community member who faced a troublesome situation after copping a pair of Air Jordan 1 x Travis 'Medium Olive' from GOAT website in the US. After recieving the pair, He observed some irregularities that pushed him to double check the pair. When he ran the sneakers through some legit check websites, it showed as a fake pair.
So, I decided to make this video to create awareness among the Indian sneaker audience.
My aim is to present all the important points to keep you guys safe and how you can make an aware decision while buying from these platforms.

Points to keep in mind:
1️⃣ When you buy from GOAT / StockX, Never ever get it delivered directly to an Indian address because you will have to pay a hefty custom / import tax when the shipment enters India. Now because the payment policy is 100% advance on such global websites, you will not be in a position to deny the shipment once it reaches the custom authorities for a check. And that's why i call it a trap from the Indian sneaker enthusiasts.

2️⃣ Instead, You can ship it to a address in US or Europe and take a help of a friend or a relative to carry it to India whenever they are travelling. Carrying 1 or 2 personal pairs alongwith your luggage is never a problem. To add on to it, please discard the box if you can.

3️⃣ Finally, whoever recieves the delivery in the US or Europe address, Ask them to check the pair thoroughly or simply click some images and check it through an authentication app to verify the pair. This way, If there is any doubt about the pair, you can raise a complaint with GOAT / StockX within 7 or 10 days of delivery date and ask for a return and refund on an immediate basis.

Also let me tell you that a number of retail stores are now opened in India like Limited Edt, VegNonVeg, SuperKicks, Extra Butter and FootLocker. My favourite is Limited Edt that has a store in Ambience Mall Gurgaon and their website experience is pretty smooth.
