YouTube Family: some of you have been here since the OLDEN DAYS OF YORE (i.e., 2016), when The Korean Vegan was a hobby, something I did on the side of full-time lawyering. It was a place to share my love of photography, writing, and recipe development. I never believed, back then, that I could be a professional at any of these things, but here I am: the author of not just one, but TWO books!!

Do you know how many people didn’t believe in me or a cookbook full of stories and Korean vegan recipes? A LOT of publishers passed on my book because they didn’t think it would sell. They didn’t want to take a chance on doenjang or stories about Korean American immigrants. They certainly didn’t believe in a “random” mix of that and vegan food. Luckily, one publisher did and to them, I will remain grateful until I die!!

We are living in uncertain times and I say a lot of things on my social media.
