Altamont Corridor Express Train Action - Summer 2021

Running between San Jose and Stockton, is the Altamont Corridor Express. Commonly known as the ACE, this commuter operation provides a vital link from the busting Silicon Valley, to the outlying suburbs East of the Bay Area. ACE trains run on a inbound/outbound commuter schedule, with the inbound Westbound runs in the morning, and outbound Eastbound runs in the afternoon.

Over the past year, ACE has also accepted delivery of four brand new Siemens SC-44 Chargers. With this, two legacy F40PH locomotives have been retired, 3101 and 3106. The F40's are still roaming around on the system from time to time, however. Changes are expected to continue forward, this time with their cabcars. New Bombardier cabcars are to be delivered in Q4 of 2021, adding another change to the railroad.

In this video, you'll see various ACE trains from the Altamont Pass, onwards to San Jose. In addition, I also included various shots of CalTrain, and Amtrak's Capitol Corridor and Coast Starlight trains in the South Bay. Footage all from the Summer of 2021.
