Meet Snorlax.
A two-fingered, adult male sloth who had two moods: lazy and aggressive, making it easy to name him!

After being hit by a car, Snorlax was found just North of San Jose, Costa Rica in early January 2021.

A thorough evaluation by our vet team showed that he had road rash and a fractured nasal septum.
Unfortunately, with no cure for a fractured nose, we provided him with proper medication and lots of rest.

After a few short weeks of keeping an eye on his behavior, Snorlax started to show signs that he was ready to get #backinthetrees.
In late January, our crew gathered to rewild him safely in Bosque Caricias, a privately owned forest tucked away with natural hiking trails where he took to the trees fast and eagerly.

We wish Snorlax the best of luck on his journey back home!
