In May 2025, at the invitation of the music and cultural micro-documentary series "Echoes of the Highland" Anti-General ventured deep into Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou. There, he embarked on a creative journey that bridged the modern and the traditional.

From the Monkey Drum dance of Yao shan Ancient Village to impromptu compositions atop Luo si ke Mountain in Duyun, he traveled through karst forests and age-old settlements. With recording equipment in hand, he captured the raw essence of these places—the rhythms of the Monkey Drum, the haunting chants of the Raojia people’s “E Beng” (grand song), the roaring waterfalls, and the whispers of wind and birdsong in the woods.

Anti-General described himself as “a mirror,” reflecting the ancient heritage of ethnic minorities and weaving it into contemporary electronic soundscapes. In doing so, he let the power of culture thrive within the forests and echo through the mountains, enduring across time.
