Making Leather Magazine Pouches: Blocked leather cases for single and double stack pistol magazines

Описание к видео Making Leather Magazine Pouches: Blocked leather cases for single and double stack pistol magazines

To finish up the shoulder holster project I have been working on I needed to make two magazine pouches. One of these is for a single stack .45 magazine and the other is for a double stack. These are made with what I have heard called a block molded or block cased method. The leather is cut over sized and then wet formed into shape before being trimmed to size and assembled. This same technique is also useful for making belt pouches for multi-tools, flash lights and many other things. Since these are made to clip onto the shoulder rig that I made in a previous video they are actually upside down for a normal magazine pouch. It is a simple matter to change how the spring clip is attached to make these into belt pouches.

I am always working on building something and try to average a YouTube video once a week. Most often leather work, but I have also posted videos on black smithing, knife making, casting, and even how I make soap.
