🚣 Rowing Drills: Hands Off Finish

Описание к видео 🚣 Rowing Drills: Hands Off Finish

This drill highlights how to sit still at the finish. I want the athletes to get the idea that the body stays still and the legs remain pressed out at the finish as the hands release the blades and flow onto the recovery.

If you are experiencing instability / extra movement at the back end of the stroke, then this could be a great drill to try.

Start by just hovering the hands a couple of centimetres above the handles, then when you gain more confidence you can progress to having the hands higher and even to things like clapping above the head. It's not as tricky a drill as it may seem, people tend to adapt quite quickly once the confidence comes.
