I want to share with you 3 mind-blowing facts about the clinical component of the PCE.

1) If no other country other than Canada subscribes to this type of clinical exam, why are Canadian universities and Canadian PT Colleges accepting of this archaic method of evaluating competency? MIND-BLOWING!

2) Quebec PTs have NEVER required the PCE in order to practice as they did not feel it was necessary. Yes the president of the CAPR who endorses the exam is also the president of the QC PT College (OPPQ) who says the exam is not required as it does not evaluate competency. MIND-BLOWING!

3) The CPO expects another organization to hand in a proposal to run a reliable & validated exam in a matter of weeks, yet the CAPR did not do such thing in 26 years! MIND-BLOWING!

Students, please speak up. PTs please speak up. I'm a proud physiotherapist and saddened by the lack of professionalism from our regulatory body.

I've not once received a reply call or an email for my concerns from the CAPR or my own college. I guess ignoring their members concerns is their professional tactic.
"Just ignore them and they'll go away!"

They cannot ignore us forever, please contact your college and BE CLEAR about how you feel and what you would like changed.

They MUST accept the proposal given by the 5 Universities across Ontario that provide a clear action plan to move forward. They must license the currently stranded PTs who are beyond frustrated.
