The Blast é a 4° faixa do primeiro álbum da dupla Reflection Eternal, chamado de “Train of Thought”, que foi lançado em 17 de outubro de 2000 pelo selo da gravadora Rawkus Records. A faixa foi totalmente produzida pelo Hi-Tek.

Há uma versão remix com participação da cantora Erykah Badu.

O álbum de estreia da dupla foi aclamado pela crítica, mas não teve um bom desempenho comercial mesmo com os bem sucedidos singles “Move Somethin” e “The Blast". Porém o álbum é considerado um verdadeiro clássico do Hip-Hop!
