In this video, I have described the Anti-Merkovnikov Rule and the effect of peroxide addition to the alkene. Due to the presence of peroxide, the reaction follows an entirely different pathway. Actually, the reaction follows the radical pathway which is generated by the presence of Radical initiation like, organic peroxide and heat or ultraviolet (UV) light.
