Описание к видео Class 45 Peak No. 45118 at Newcastle - 'The Pennine Peak' Rail Tour - 8th Nov 2024

In this video we see Class 45 Peak (Type 4) diesel loco No. 45118 'The Royal Artilleryman at Newcastle Central Station with 'The Pennine Peak' rail tour (1Z66) from Liverpool Lime Street which was ran by Locomotive Services Ltd. Class 47 No. 47711 was on the rear of the train.

It is many years since a 'Peak' loco was in Newcastle and they were regularly seen on the approximate route this special train took today in the 1960s, 70s and early 80s as well as routes through the Midland region and South West of England.

It was very nostalgic for me to see this loco visit Newcastle today.
