Phire Dekha is a Documentary film... which constitutes another new one in the album of my short films. This is a film where friends of mine gathered in a winter evening after a long gap of 20 years and share their experiences about the life they came across during this phase .. as also expressed by one of the actor saying...... it is followed by one chapter after another. The experienced shared ...comprises the time prevailed during the seventies, which may be termed as a new phase in the environment of Bengal. Politically a trying time prevailed with the advent of many a parties who tried to emphasize on their points of establishing a new progressive Bengal. . The regime of Congress went on R.I.P. In West Bengal , Naxalite movement went into astray ,pity, many Golden Boys of Bengal felled to its prey. Precious lives lost despite of great manifestos they carried, to make a Beautiful nation, eradicating corruption from all walks of lives. . A total resurgence came in the lime-lite with the advent of Left front rule in West Bengal.,which carried for thirty four years. though last fifteen years of there rule was a misdemeanor ..The actors shared there experiences in many walks of lives they overcame. One of them also narrated about a Drama where he experienced the touchy moment of his audience, which also perpetually depicted his excellence in performing the art. Mr. Acharya a good friend of mine also came forward and put forth the hemoglobin (a red protein substance present in the red corpuscle of the blood porting Oxygen) by exposing the fact about the creation of the famous Rabindra Sangeet of Tagore......" .purano sheyi diner kotha..." My friend Joy Sarkar and Bidyut Chakroborty was also helpmates of mine in many spheres while making this film. My wife Meena Mitra also worked silently from the background to make the show a grand success..I personally also acknowledge thanks to Kolkata Zoo Garden, Nature Park and Sir Gour Sen Sharma who played a predominant factor in preparing our mind set in the field of performing arts of drama and Rabindra literature ... during our childhood .I think the film will be liked by many persons of mature age.
