Chandigarh, June 11 (ANI): Aruna Tanwar became the first Indian Taekwondo athlete to take part in Tokyo Paralympic. The player is from village Dinod of district Bhiwani in Haryana. She has been awarded a wild card entry for the upcoming tournament. The 21-yr-old received the wild card based on her exemplary past performances. She has also been ranked 4th in the world the women's U-49 category. Aruna said, “I had full support of my family and they used to come with me for my tournaments.”Aruna’s dream is to win gold medal for the country in Taekwondo. Her family always supported her. Her father appealed for government’s assistance for her future. (KP)
