On Tuesday, July 11th, we received an urgent call for assistance from local authorities about a suspected hoarding situation involving nearly 70 animals in one residence. Although we could imagine how terrible the conditions were, nothing could have prepared us for exactly how bad they were… it’s a miracle they were even found alive.

Most of the animals found in the residence were cats, however there was one dog found among the cats that was in distress and in need of immediate medical attention. The conditions they lived in were unsuitable for any animal. Unhealthy and filthy circumstances - innocent souls endured long-term suffering for no reason at all. The floors were so covered in litter and feces that it was hard to recognize that the floors were not the dirty ground outside.

It’s heartbreakingly unfair that 70 animals were forced to be cramped into one tiny living space, going without care for years by the looks of it. They had to compete for the little food that was provided and had to fight over spaces to rest their heads at night. No animal should have to live like that.
