The world may not be all gloom and doom at least according to the 2023 World Happiness Index.
Released on the International Day of Happiness March 20th the index claims that the world is "happier" than before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is because acts of kindness counterbalanced misery factors.
It's the tenth report of its kind with 100-thousand people across 137 countries taking part.
Participants were asked to evaluate their lives on a scale of one to ten.
Finland claimed the title of "World's Happiest Nation" as it ranked number one for the sixth straight year.
It was followed by Denmark and Iceland with South Korea ranked at 57th.
