From the tender age of four, Kalpana took to the stage, blending the rich traditions of Kamrupiya and Goalporiya folk music with her innate passion.

Trained as a Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani Classical Music from Bhatkhande Music Institute University, Lucknow, she has transcended regional boundaries, earning the title “Bhojpuri Queen” for her groundbreaking contributions to Bhojpuri music.

With a repertoire spanning over 32 languages, including Assamese, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali, Kalpana has redefined folk artistry, bringing age-old traditions like Khadi Birha and Chhaprahiya Purvi to global audiences.
