Ayamonte (2024) is a coastal town in the region of Andalusia, Spain. The city has a population of 20,000 and is part of the municipality of Huelva close to the Portuguese border. It is located at the river Guadiana and the Salt Marshes (Marismas) which is a national park. Besides the Marismas del Guadiana some other highlights of the city are the marina, the bullring and the church of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias. Every year there are celebrations in the town of their patron.
