Well I decided to get another few hours fishing on the beach before xmas. It was a good north westerly breeze, and a bit of swell on the beach, but wasnt too bad. I fished the last 3 hours of the ebb tide, then the first hour of the flood. The shoals of sprats and small herring have made a huge difference to the catches!
