Elle Hollis - Still Mine

'Still Mine' was on of the first full songs I had ever written. I was about 13 or 14 and since I did not know exactly what love was and how it felt to lose someone (even though I'm pretty sure I thought I knew at the time), I drew a lot of inspiration from stories and films. As I got older I understood more and more of what I wrote and how I felt about losing someone I loved for the first time. I've always wanted to release it, but only wanted to do that at the right time, when it properly resonates with my feelings and understandings of love. That time is now and I could not be happier to share it with the world in the most stripped back and honest way. The song describes the ups and downs of a breakup, the putting in the effort in feeling better by going out and reinventing yourself by trying all sorts of new things, followed by the realization that despite that effort, you still miss that person.
