In this episode of Talking Trains, we're joined by the current president of the Overfair Pacific Railroad. This is the continuation of what was once known as the Swanton Pacific, a 19 inch gauge railroad located northwest of Santa Cruz, that was almost completely consumed in CZU Lightning Complex wildfire in 2020.

Cal Poly seemed more than content to let the historic miniature railroad equipment be swept away into the ash pit of history, having no use for it - other than the very valuable land it once occupied. The rest of the story will be told by Molly, who is the president of the organization that will rebuild this railroad and its unique roster of equipment from the ground up in its new home at Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, CA.
