SHOULD YOU LEARN PHP IN 2021 - WORTH LEARNING?

Is PHP worth learning in 2021? That's what we are discussing today. The PHP programming language has been around for a long time. It is an OOP language that has stood the test of time. Approximately 80% of the internet is running on PHP, largely thanks to Wordpress. With so much of the internet running being built using the language, we are still left asking the same question: should I learn PHP in 2021?

If you are new to web development, then you might be wondering should you learn php or is php dead? We can already rule out the question is php dead due to the percentage of the total internet that uses the programming language. But with so many newer languages and frameworks out there, should you learn php in 2021?

Let's jump in and try to answer the question based on my own personal experience and a general look at the practicalities of using the language.
